Stepping Into Advanced Practice: Capabilities, Pathways, and Professional Identity
Wednesday 25th March,  6.30–8.00pm

This IIRRT webinar explores what it means to move into advanced practice roles and the capabilities required to work at an advanced level. Participants will gain insight into the four pillars of advanced practice—clinical expertise, leadership, education, and research—and how to develop across each domain. The session provides guidance on understanding role expectations, evidencing advanced-level capabilities, and confidently developing a professional identity as an emerging advanced practitioner.

The webinar will be facilitated by Melanie Clarkson BSc (Hons), PGCE, MSc, PFHEA, a Therapeutic Radiographer and Programme Lead for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Radiotherapy and Oncology and the PgC Enhanced Practice in Radiotherapy and Oncology at Sheffield Hallam University. Melanie works closely with national bodies including the NHS England Centre for Advancing Practice and the College of Radiographers, supporting Radiography professionals to understand advanced practice frameworks, capabilities, and career pathways.
